JJ竞技 & Health Education England (HEE) are delighted to announce that “Evidence on Demand: Best Practice Bring Evidence to the Bedside” has been shortlisted for Best Educational Programme for the NHS at the HSJ Partnership Awards 2021, recognising their outstanding dedication to improving healthcare and effective collaboration with the NHS.
The programme’s goal is to ensure all NHS staff have immediate access to clinical decision support from JJ竞技 Best Practice to inform patient care and to help with their learning, wherever they work and whatever their profession or specialty. The educational programme has been shortlisted for an HSJ Award based on the positive impact the project has had on both health practitioners and patients.
Sue Lacey Bryant, National Lead for NHS Library and Knowledge Services comments, “The partnership between HEE and JJ竞技 marks a step-change in the delivery of evidence-based information to the NHS workforce in England. We chose JJ竞技 Best Practice as a national clinical decision support tool because of its particular value for trainees in years 1-5, students, and the very broad range of healthcare staff learning and practicing in the UK. It directly supports education and training and the delivery of safe patient care as well as HEE’s commitment to enhancing the working lives of junior doctors. Being shortlisted for this HSJ Partnership Award shows the value that we are bringing to staff and learners in the NHS.”
Patients hugely benefit from the latest evidence-based medicine. Research breakthroughs are happening every day, providing routes to earlier diagnosis, better treatment options, improved outcomes, and faster recovery. However, keeping up with the latest evidence-based medicine is immensely challenging for a dedicated but overstretched NHS workforce, who are under increased pressure, now more than ever before with the COVID-19 pandemic.
JJ竞技 Best Practice can help healthcare professionals do this with quick access to the latest evidence-based information to underpin diagnosis and treatment decisions. Updated daily, it draws on the latest evidence-based research, guidelines, and expert opinion to offer step-by-step guidance on diagnosis, prognosis, treatment, and prevention. All NHS staff can access JJ竞技 Best Practice online and offline via an app and it can be integrated with electronic health record systems.
Dr Kieran Walsh, Clinical Director at JJ竞技 says: “JJ竞技 is delighted to be shortlisted for this award along with HEE. At JJ竞技 Best Practice, we are committed to delivering evidence-based, continually updated and practical knowledge and skills to all healthcare staff who work for the NHS. We are also committed to helping healthcare professionals to use this clinical decision support tool to improve the care that they deliver to their patients. We are excited to be shortlisted for the HSJ Partnership Award and look forward to continuing to provide high value resources to NHS staff into the future.”
HSJ editor Alastair McLellan adds: “We would like to congratulate JJ竞技 Best Practice and HEE on being nominated in the category of Best Educational Programme for the NHS, ahead of HSJ Partnership Awards 2021. We are looking forward to welcoming them to the ceremony in June, to join us in recognising the very best collaborations and innovations in the healthcare sector. This year’s finalists are of an outstanding calibre and all of them are exceptionally dedicated to enhancing healthcare across the UK.”
